The Holocaust

History for me is very beautiful, even if some of the worst things happened, such as the Holocaust which took place during World War II. The Holocaust was the 1940's prosecution of many people, focusing on Jews all around Europe. When Adolf Hitler came to power, the value in humanity temporarily perished in years: concentration camps, strong military forces, families torn apart, Pearl Harbor and so much more. Yet there were those kinds of people, who in spite of the chaos unleashing around them, were destined to make their voices heard. They refused to let the Nazi's live their lives for them and made sure their story was told, no matter the cost. Some of these people were a great part of the Resistance, a secret group of young adults who conducted plans to either assassinate Hitler or help rescue Jews who were daily murdered in concentration camps. Yes, these were great heroes, but there were others who had hidden courage, were secret risk-takers, felt unconditional love in their hearts and had undeniable passion for the world. Young and small heroes that made the biggest differences; made the biggest impact in history. Who are they....?
  1. Annelies Marie Frank (Anne Frank)
  2. Hana Brady
  3. Elly Berkovits Gross
  4. Oskar Schindler
  5. Edith van Hassen
  6. Jack Mandelbaum
  7. Eliezer Wiesel (Elie Wiesel)
Yet, there are many other people, these are just a few, compared to the rest that endured the Holocaust; simply victimized because of who they were. There are others: Primo Levi, Mala Zimetbaum, Edek Galinski, Tsvi C. Nussbaum, Claus von Stauffenberg, etc...etc.. So many heroes that fought for what they believed in, and even if that cost them their lives, they were proud for they managed to do for their people. They eventually learned that freedom isn't free...it comes with a price, known as sacrifice.

I am the one who is hugging my dad's arm and my dad is the one who is leaning on my head. My mom is the one in the far left. The girl in the red/pink sweater is Erica, my best friend in Mexico and the woman behind Erica is her mother, one of my mom's best friend. And that just leaves my brother who is in between my mom and dad. We were sitting in the back of the town trian, we are in Mexico.

This is me and my brother, we were in Mexico at that time. So in the background is a small town in Mexico.

This is my me and my brother. We were in Mexico and we took a boat trip which was really fun!

P.S You can see I still had my retainers on!

Sports

So do you have any favorite sport? I do, and that's tennis. I love playing that, it's so much fun! Even though I'm not that good, I still enjoy playing it. It keeps you busy. Like if your bored and have nothing els to do then tennis is always the answer. Of course you can't play that if it's raining. Which I hate...I was planning to play tennis when it rained! Now nothing could be more worse than weather messing up your perfect plans for the day!

Owww!

Dear Readers,

Have you ever gotten something that you wanted but at the same time you didn't? I sure haved. I now have retainers! I first got them when I was eight years old in third grade. Ever since I had them in my mouth. Of course they changed over time. First would be these metal retainers then these other ones and then these other ones. So...I have a collection of retainers now! And right now I'm wearing one but it's in my botton teeth so when I talk nobody can't really see them-which is the good part. I wanted straight teeth like everybody els, but sometimes they hurt and I just want to take them out of my mouth even though I can't. It is like having a piece of metal in your mouth all day long. But don't worry the ones I have on right now don't hurt because I had them for over a year now and I'm quite uesd to it. So there you have it-a tour inside my mouth.

Egyptians

Dear Readers,

Do you like studying the past? I do, especially the pharaohs and mummies! They are so interesting and so mysterious. Well do you also like the ancient times?

Pets

Dear Readers,

Did you ever have a pet that died a harsh death? I did. I remember having a turtle when I was 9 years old; her name was Kimberly. Like a nine years old I wasn't really responsible for a pet, let alone a turtle. So both my mom and dad decided to give her away to a friend that was married and had an 11 year old; who would be more responsible about Kimberly. Anyway when we went to visit my ex-turtle the friend said she had died!!! I guess it was use to living with me and when it left it died. She was well fed and yet she died! I never really understood her death, but hey she was still my pet!!

Back In Time

Dear Readers,

Have you ever done something silly while you were in kindergarten? I have and I'll never forget it. I remember when I was playing in the monkey bars in the playground I was swinging around, acting like a monkey myself. Anyway, I was swinging around freely; eyes closed feeling the wind swirl around me. Suddenly I felt a great bang on the side of my head! I quickly went to the teacher and she gasped. I realize I had banged my left eye and it was now going to be all swollen! I didn't go to school for 2 days because my purple, bruised, swollen eye hadn't recovered yet. I will never forget that day. So why don't you make your kindergarten memories count by posting a comment and talking about your bad day at kindergarten.

My Hobby!

Dear Who Ever Is Reading This,

Do you have a hobby? Well you should get one-there very fun. My hobby is writing stories. I started this when I was 9 years old. (I am now 11 years old). I have written a lot of stories those last couple of years; they are mostly all long and very thick. The one I'm working on now has 289 pages! But hey I still need 23 more chapters to go. Anyway writing stories is really fun for me and I guess it's my passion. And get this: my biography book report was 12 pages long! See told you, I just enjoy picking up a pencil and love to start writing away. I love writing, don't you?
